The Northeast Acquirers Association hopes to raise $50,000 to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy through a silent auction in January at its Winter Seminar and Outing at Mount Snow, Vt.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Foundation and to the American Red Cross, a Nov. 12 association press release said.

Companies and individuals may contribute cash or objects for the auction by contacting Nancy Austin, association vice president, at nancy_a3@verifone.com or Jacques Breton, association treasurer, at Jacques@myclearreports.com.

Meanwhile, we look into vending machines as an opportunity for ISOs and conduct an inquiries into how ISOs and agents can nudge retailers toward data security. Last but not least, we urge ISOs to keep up with technology so that they can keep their clients informed.
