Northeast Acquirers Aiding Storm Victims

ISO & Agent Weekly | Monday, November 12, 2012

The Northeast Acquirers Association hopes to raise $50,000 to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy through a silent auction in January at its Winter Seminar and Outing at Mount Snow, Vt.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Foundation and to the American Red Cross, a Nov. 12 association press release said.

Companies and individuals may contribute cash or objects for the auction by contacting Nancy Austin, association vice president, at nancy_a3@verifone.com or Jacques Breton, association treasurer, at Jacques@myclearreports.com.

In the May-June issue we see how ISOs are turning data into revenue by offering it as a value-added service to merchants. We also look at the most common value-adds and how they got that way. A vendor even provides advice on transforming PCI services into value-adds. Coverage of SourceMedia's 20 Most Influential Women in Payments provides a highlight of the issue, and we also assess the potential profitability of medical marijuana.
