Opinions Sought From Independent ATM Deployers

ISO & Agent Weekly | Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Have some thoughts on the state of the ATM industry? The ATM Industry Association, or ATMIA, and Kahuna ATM Solutions would like to hear them for their annual U.S. Independent ATM Deployer Survey.

Issues include the health of the industry, legislation and compliance, EMV and mobile payments.

The sponsors plan to reveal the suvey results during the 2013 ATMIA U.S. Conference and Expo., Feb. 19-21, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“I encourage all U.S.-based IADs to take a few minutes to complete the survey,” says Bryan Bauer, president of Kahuna ATM Solutions, a business-development service company dedicated to ATM deployers.

"Surveys like this help us to hear the heartbeat of our members,” says David N. Tente, U.S. executive director for ATMIA, a global trade association.

Results of last year’s survey, available on the Kahuna website, showed that despite an uncertain economic climate and the other, most deployers planned to grow their businesses in 2012. The 2012 survey also revealed the biggest concerns for deployers were compliance mandates, network changes and the increasing cost of doing business, and market saturation.

In the May-June issue we see how ISOs are turning data into revenue by offering it as a value-added service to merchants. We also look at the most common value-adds and how they got that way. A vendor even provides advice on transforming PCI services into value-adds. Coverage of SourceMedia's 20 Most Influential Women in Payments provides a highlight of the issue, and we also assess the potential profitability of medical marijuana.
