EDC ATM-Subsidiary Purchase Helps Boost Cardtronics’ Q3 Earnings

Cardtronics Inc. on Nov. 7 reported second-quarter revenues of $165.1 million, up 21% from $136.6 million during the same period ended Sept. 30 last year. Net income rose 127%, to $46.8 million from $20.6 million.

Revenue was up 12% without including the ATM business of EDC Holding Co. LLC that Cardtronics acquired in June.

ATM operating revenues totaled $157.6 million, up 18% from $134 million, while ATM product sales and other revenues rose 196%, to $7.4 million from $2.5 million, according to the ATM ISO.
